Responsibilities:
The Secretary is accountable and responsible for providing administrative/secretarial support with minimal supervision/direction to managers, supervisors, physicians and various professionals. The successful candidate will be responsible for efficient priortization of multiple responsibilities to meet the requirements of the department(s) utilizing initiative, judgement and knowledge in a highly confidential setting.
Qualifications:
* Grade XII plus the successful completion of a one year secretarial course
* One year secretarial experience required
* Experience working in a hospital setting an asset
* Knowledge of medical terminology an asset
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office products
* Excellent computer skills
* Knowledge of Groupwise, Internet, Star Navigator, PHS and Time Capture an asset
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Hours of Work:
Permanent Full Time position; 70 hours bi weekly
Salary: Secretary C:
$17.1964 - $19.1071 hourly
