Outbound Market Research Interviewer
Blue Ocean Contact Centers
Location: Halifax

As an Outbound Market Research Interviewer at Blue Ocean Contact Centers, you will be collecting information about peoples' attitudes and behaviours relating to products and services as well as political and social issues. Market Research provides the opportunity for the public to communicate their ideas and opinions. By nature of the job, you will work as part of a team and be required to follow very specific instructions. These instructions must be strictly adhered to in order to ensure accurate and valuable results.

You will find interviewing work challenging and absorbing, as your job will be spent conversing, persuading and listening to people from every walk of life. You will learn the art of reading people, understanding them, and being able to decipher the important information from the insignificant. As an Interviewer you will learn to record information 100% accurately without bias.
 
Market Research Interviewing can be an effective way of learning many valuable skills. When pursuing your future career goals, regardless of the industry, these will prove to be huge assets:

These positions will interest individuals who:

  • Are able to work a minimum 20 hours to 37.5 hours per week during evenings and Saturdays

  • Possess a clear speaking voice with above average grammar and diction skills

  • Possess basic computer keyboard skills 
  • Have the ability to follow instructions implicitly  
  • Possess excellent comprehension skills  
  • Have the desire to constantly achieve targets  
  • Will professionally represent our clients  
  • Can handle being on the phone for extended periods of time 
  • Possess a positive, friendly, and courteous phone manner  
  • Are wanting to gain valuable research and marketing experience

And we need our interviewers to possess:

  • The ability to be impartial, unbiased and neutral at all times  
  • The ability to read an interview script aloud from the computer screen  
  • The ability to record all information verbatim with 100% accuracy
  • There is no selling involved and no experience is required, as full training will be given.
