Customer Service Assistant

A bit about the company:

Intertape Polymer Group is a recognized leader in the development and manufacturing of specialized polyolefin plastic and paper packaging products and complementary packaging systems.

The company is based in Montreal, Quebec and Bradenton, Florida with fifteen facilities in North America and one European location. The Truro, Nova Scotia plant produces woven plastic fabric and film for a wide range of products serving the North American market.

Position overview:

To assist the Customer Service Representative by faxing orders, entering inter-company transfers, printing invoices, and performing other duties as required. The Customer Service Assistant also prepares and sends daily and weekly reports, handles sample requests from salesmen and customers, and performs general office duties, such as filing and ordering supplies. Another main role is to be cross trained as a Customer Service Representative so the assistant is able to fill in for vacations, etc.

Requirments:

  • College or University diploma in office administration
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Package and general computer applications, specifically Excel and Word
  • Be able to work as part of a team
  • Enjoy working with the public
  • Be able to thrive in a fast paced work environment
  • Ability to handle complaints and difficult situations
  • Great organizational skills
  • Multi-Tasking
