Receptionist
Location: Halifax

Seeking an organized and flexible Receptionist to join a small team in Halifax.

If you like to use your organizational skills to help a team succeed, then please consider this immediate position as a receptionist with our client located in Halifax!

Our client has been providing consulting and management services to the construction industry from offices in Canada and overseas for over 50 years. They are now looking for a Receptionist to help coordinate the reception and administrative functions of the office and team of 5 professionals.

Responsibilities: 

  • Answer all incoming phone lines and greet clients professionally and courteously. 
  • Process all invoicing for the team to ensure accurate and prompt billing. 
  • Proactively follow up with clients to ensure that invoices were received and routed to the appropriate person/department to ensure prompt payment. 
  • Coordinate submission of proposals by compiling and editing existing templates and documents.
  • Maintain office supplies and equipment. 
  • Other administrative assistance and project work as required.

The ideal candidate possesses the following: 

  • Approximately 2 years of experience in a reception or administrative capacity in a professional office environment. 
  • College education in office administration or related field. 
  • Basic skills in MS Word, Excel and Outlook. 
  • Exceptional organizational skills. 
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills. 
  • Keen attention to detail. 
  • Ability to take initiative to create and recommend processes that will improve office efficiencies.
