We are seeking an Administrative Assistant/Bookkeeper who will provide diversified administrative support for our team and our customers, based in the Halifax Office.
Duties will include:
- Payables, Postings to GL, Bank Reconciliation, Gov't remittances and other bookkeeping duties
- Payroll for both hourly (internal) and salaried staff (outsourced)
- Corporate website maintenance (CMS based)
- Vacation, sickness and absenteeism records management
- Benefit program administration, WCB and HR support
- System backup and quality control
- Office equipment and software support
- Reception and secretarial support
The successful candidate will:
- Have 5 years experience in bookkeeping/office management (preferably with QuickBooks)
- Be proficient in keyboarding and various computer applications
- Have good judgement, show initiative, take pride in work and be able to get the job done
- Must be approachable and have a customer service attitude
- Confidentiality is an absolute requirement
