Our client, a major transportation company based in New Brunswick, is seeking an experienced accounting professional in the role of Senior Financial Accountant.
Working with a seasoned team and reporting to the Financial Accounting Manager, you will be responsible for general accounting, reporting and financial analysis. Utilizing your technical accounting skills, you will prepare monthly financial statements and consolidated quarterly statements, ensuring they are completed accurately and within deadlines. You will also be responsible for the maintenance and reconciliation of general ledger accounts and will serve as the financial database administrator.
As the ideal candidate, you have completed a professional accounting designation program (CA, CMA, CGA) and have a minimum of three years’ experience in an accounting environment. In addition to your technical accounting skills, you have strong organizational and time management skills and the ability to communicate well, both orally and written. The ability to work in a team environment and contribute to the success of the group is vital in this role. Salary is in the $50,000 - $60,000 range.
