We are currently sourcing a Senior SOA Tester for large integrated delivery projects in financial services.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Reviews requirements, specifications and other deliverables for testability and to assist scoping testing effort.
• Contributes to Test Strategy/Plan.
• Provides effort estimates for assigned work packages.
• Ensures requirements & test cases are logged into test management for areas assigned.
• Ensures defects are logged into defect management tool.
• Contributes to metrics gathering.
• Provides progress information and escalate issues to Test Manager.
• Attends defect triage meetings representing test team.
• Ensures deliverables are internally reviewed.
• Provides support to offshore resources and client testing activities as required.

Qualifications:

• Hands-on experience creating test cases, preferable on a SOA environment
• 5 or more years experience in testing role with financial services industry experience
• Computer Science degree or equivalent experience
• Certified software tester preferred
• Excellent understanding of the software release process and testing methodologies (functional testing, regression testing and automation)
• Strong hands-on experience using HP Quality Center and ParaSoft SOA test or similar
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Strong organization skills
• Can communicate in both technical and business terms
• Ability to multi-task
• Financial industry certification (CSC, CPH, CFP, CIBA, ICB or CFA) is a plus

Other Requirements (e.g. travel, shift work, on-call duty, overtime):
Some travel required.
