Junior Programmer/Production Technician
Full Time Hours / 24 hour Rotating Shift Work (to start)

Based out of Shediac, New Brunswick, we are located only minutes from beautiful Parlee Beach and downtown Shediac. Situated only 15 minutes from Moncton you have the option of city or small town living.

At InteliSys we are looking for strong team players that not only have the technical skills to succeed but also the soft skills to be an intricate part of our team. 

The successful candidates will work through a training cycle that will eventually lead to a development position. Initial introduction will involve learning the Amelia product suite through Software Testing and Production Support. After the initial training, the selected candidate will be responsible for problem handling and processing and issue escalation in our 24/7-support group. Candidates must be willing to work rotating shifts at all hours of the day and any of the 7 days of the week. From this Production Technician position the selected candidates will grow to be a key part of our Amelia Software Suite development team.
 
Immediate responsibilities include:

• Software Testing
• Receive calls and instant messages from our client community, log and escalate issues.
• Manage support e-mails in response, escalation and resolution
• Discern issue severity and decide on escalation path and resolution.
• Provide first line technical support and advise users on system usage.
• Liaise with senior staff during issue resolution.
• Perform system-monitoring tasks and provide feedback to the team leader on key issues.
• Begin development training and work on select development projects

Responsibilities will grow to include:

• Debugging of components, programming and development of application projects.
• Working on new development projects

The following skills are required for this position:

• Strong technical skills
• Excellent troubleshooting skills.
• Formal training in computer programming
• Strong outgoing team player able to work effectively with little supervision
• A keen eye for detail and discerning understanding of technical issues
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

The following skills would be an asset for this position:

• Network and Systems experience
• Experience supporting or developing 3 tiered applications
• Experience in a client services and support environment
• Experience supporting or developing VB and SQL applications
• Experience supporting or developing applications delivered through Citrix
• Experience supporting or developing Web Applications
