Computer Services Officer 2A-2C (Halifax)

Duties:

The Computer Services Officer will be responsible for providing technical support to provincial, school board, NSLC and other clients who require ABAP development and Business Warehouse support.  S/he will ensure integrity of corporate data and optimization of technical environments through system development and testing methodologies.  S/he will provide enhancements and expansions in functionality to maximize SAP's integrated suite of application software.  The Computer Services Officer may assist corporate SAP clients in resolving technical problems. 

Qualifications:

Requires a university degree in Computing Science supplemented by experience in Information Technology (PR 7 - six months, PR 9 - 1 year, PR 11 - 2 years) or an acceptable equivalent combination of formal education and experience.  Experience in a technical programming environment is required.  The incumbent must be highly analytical with proven ability to establish an effective rapport and working relationship with team members and system users from all levels of government.  Proficiency in SAP's ABAP, Java, or similar development languages will be considered an asset.  Exposure to SAP's industry solutions for Utilities and Retail, as well XI and BI technologies would also be considered an asset.

Classification: PR 7-11

Salary Range: $40,479 to $57,886
