Business Analyst

Summary
The Business Analyst generates and interprets online advertising and website business performance reports and makes recommendations on potential improvements. This will include identifying requirements, gathering primary data and analyzing results using Excel and SQL.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The successful candidate will contribute by:

• Managing and optimizing online advertising
• Monitoring daily revenue and profitability
• Reporting and interpreting key site performance metrics

The Business Analyst will report directly to the General Manager and be responsible for managing Eldis's online advertising. They will also generate and maintain reports on business activities and provide analysis.

Qualifications
In order to succeed in this position the candidate must be:

• Intelligent
• Ready for responsibility and challenge
• Organized and able to prioritize tasks
• Detail oriented – the successful candidate must be able to find answers to business problems within very large data sets
• An expert user of Excel, and able to learn new applications with ease

Preference will be given to candidates with expertise in or experience with:

• Online marketing / advertising
• Statistics
• Database programming (SQL)

The Business Analyst must possess a strong comman d of the English language both verbal and written. The successful candidate must be able to communicate their analysis to senior management effectively.

Education and/or Experience
Applicants should expect a rigorous screening process, including aptitude testing. We are willing to work with the right candidate to grow his or her skills to meet the job requirements. We expect the ideal candidate to have an undergraduate degree, as well as several years' experience. Experience in online businesses is an asset, but not a requirement.
