Registered Nurses – Full and Part time

Northwood is one of the largest and most progressive long term care facilities in Eastern Canada, offering a continuum of services and programs based on a philosophy that helps older adults make the most of their lives.  We are looking for dynamic individuals to be part of our West Bedford team.  We are accepting applications for Registered Nurses.

Responsible to the Area Manager, you are an experienced professional accountable for the coordination and delivery of quality care to our residents.

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• Registered Nurse-Province of Nova Scotia.
• Minimum 2 years experience in nursing preferred with current knowledge and experience in long term care.
• Strong clinical, communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated abilities in problem solving, decision making, group process, and directing and supervising others.
• Demonstrated ability to attend work on a regular and consistent basis according to the Northwood Corporate Standard. 
• Demonstrated use of proper body mechanics.
• Demonstrated initiative and ability to work independently.
• Knowledge of / experience with a Person-directed Model of Living.
• Demonstrated ability to work as a member of the interdisciplinary team.
