Software Quality Analysts play a critical role in the evolution of Cogsdale’s products by testing software code, creating automated test cases, and determining the origin of software issues. Software Quality Analysts work with Developers and Support Analysts to identify and solve quality issues. The ideal candidate for this position is an outstanding problem solver with an eye for detail.
Responsibilities:
- The successful candidate will debug complex software products through the use of systematic tests to develop, apply and maintain quality standards for our client's products.
- Develop and execute complex software test plans and test specification documents.
- Complete and maintain documentation of test results to assist in debugging and modification of complex software.
- Perform analysis of test results to ensure functionality and recommend corrective action.
- Complete logging, tracking, communication and resolution of issues.
- Work closely with developers, designers, technical writers, and support team to investigate and correct defects.
- Maintain automated testing tool.
Skills & Experience:
- 3 – 5 years of work experience in a Quality Assurance role preferred.
- Detail oriented.
- Ability to learn and understand business processes driving the application development.
- Business degree with a focus on Accounting or Computer Science (equivalent combination of work experience and education may be considered)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Familiarity with Microsoft technologies including Dynamics CRM, SharePoint, Dynamics GP will be considered an asset.
