Pharmacist

Regional Health Authority B – Upper River Valley Zone has an immediate opportunity for a permanent full-time Pharmacist at Hotel-Dieu of Saint-Joseph in Perth-Andover.

 The Pharmacist is responsible for supervising Pharmacy Technicians, checking technician order entry, overseeing drug distribution process including general dispensing, sterile and non-sterile compounding, clinical work including order review and interpretation, medication reconciliation, drug information, interdisciplinary rounds, development of pharmacy policies and procedures.  Other responsibilities may include patient education and drug therapy monitoring, participating in pharmacy student training/preceptorship, performing administrative functions, participating in planning and implementation of department programs and activities which may include quality improvement, performance management, statistical activities and presentation of education and/or orientation programs and evaluation of students and research.

Qualifications:

• Must be registered with the New Brunswick Pharmaceutical Society, licensed to practice in New Brunswick and have demonstrated leadership ability and related work experience and/or completion of a post graduate training program
• Demonstrated organizational, communication and interpersonal skills
• Residency in hospital practice and previous hospital experience preferred
• Written and spoken competence in English is required

Classification:  PH-1 – Salary range: $33.9454 to $42.9843 per hour
