Job Summary:

This is a psychology assistant position in the rehabilitation and treatment sectors of the Forensic Psychiatry Unit at the Restigouche Hospital Centre. The main duties of the position include taking part in the development of new programs for care recipients to promote their autonomy and help them reach their maximum functional level. The incumbent will also assist the psychologist with the treatment and assessment of care recipients, as needed, and will serve as a consultant to various stakeholders. The person will also assist with staff training and work within a multidisciplinary team.

Requirements:

• Bachelor of Psychology;
• Ability to work within a team;
• Knowledge of spoken and written French and English; 
• Interest in working with targeted group and abilities in this field; 
• Knowledge in the fields of psychometric evaluation, as well as individual and group intervention, for the targeted group considered an asset.
