Hours of Work: Rotating Shifts, subject to change, on call / will be required to float to in-patient unit

Expected Commencement Date:  November 2009

Job Purpose:

To co-ordinate the care of each patient's needs through assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation.  The needs of the family will be identified, and the appropriate resources notified. Assists with research projects.

Essential Qualifications: 

• Graduate nurse – actively registered in New Brunswick, or eligible for such registration.
• At least two years experience in Medical-Surgical Nursing.
• Written and spoken competence in English is required.
• Current Cardiac Monitor Interpretation Course or successful in challenge exam at time of hire.
• Current ACLS or willing to complete within six months.
• On call for Emergency Department on rotating basis.
• Ability to perform a broad range of duties which change frequently.
• Ability to perform the duties of the position.
• Good previous work records with the ability to attend work on a regular basis.
