The town of Rothesay is currently seeking applications from qualified persons for the temporary full-time position of Seasonal Labourer Operator (2 positions).

Seasonal Labourer Operators are responsible for the safe and efficient operation of a variety of Town equipment including trackless and 1 ton trucks during the winter months. The duties of this classification will include some light maintenance and servicing of the assigned equipment. Seasonal Labourer Operators are also required to be on an on-call schedule.

Qualifications for the position include completion of Grade 12 or equivalent and the ability to work as a member of a team as well as the following:

• A minimum of five years experience as a truck driver with experience operating trackless sidewalk plowing equipment with attachments and 1 ton trucks;
• A valid New Brunswick Driver's License with air certificate Class 5E for the entire term of employment;
• A clean driver's abstract;
• Knowledge of the principles of safely operating equipment during winter driving conditions;
• Knowledge of traffic laws, ordinances and regulations involving snow plow equipment operation.
