Communications Officer
The New Brunswick Association of CBDCs is accepting applications for the position of Communications Officer. This position will end on March 31, 2010 with possibility of a one-year renewable term and will be based in Bathurst, NB.
General Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Working as the media magnet for Women in Business (WBI).
- Researching, writing and editing news releases, success stories, news articles and special publications.
- Coordinating and editing quarterly newsletter.
- Planning and coordination of special events.
- Providing communications support for the WBI to highlight the importance of Women Business Owners in the NB economy.
- Assisting in achieving the objectives of the WBI work plan.
Minimum qualifications are a degree from a recognized university with acceptable specialization in communications, public relations, journalism or some other specialty relevant to the position. The successful candidate will have experience in issues management and media relation, production of publications and knowledge of the New Brunswick region, its media structures, Microsoft Office and desktop publishing
Language Requirements:
- Bilingual (spoken and written)
Extensive travel within New Brunswick will be required for this position and therefore a valid driver's license is required
