Atlantic Wallboard is a new business venture for the J.D. Irving, Limited group of companies. Located in the new Irving Green Industrial Park, Atlantic Wallboard is a highly automated, state of the art gypsum manufacturing facility which will provide a broad range of gypsum wallboard products for use in the construction industry. We are currently seeking applicants for the position(s) of:

Production Operators

Responsibilities:

• Forming & testing of wallboard, production of stucco, curing, packaging and warehousing.
• Equipment cleaning, inspection, light maintenance and lubrication ensuring maximum reliability.
• Product and process testing responsibilities
• Willing to work on a shift schedule
• Work with high performance work teams to resolve process related issues 
• Forklift operation 
• Ability to work in an accident free manner and help insure that team members work safely while performing all job duties 

The successful candidates will possess a high school diploma or equivalent. Previous production operator experience will be considered a strong asset. Other requirements and qualifications are as follows:

• Good problem solving, trouble shooting and communication skills
• Ability to collect and use data
• Ability to work in a fast paced team environment 
• Flexibility to work in various roles
• Ability to work in an accident free manner and help to insure that team members work safely while performing all job duties
• Flexibility in working hours
• Safety training in the areas of confined space and fall arrest will be considered an asset
• Interest in working in a continuous learning environment where LEAN manufacturing practices will be utilized. Previous experience in LEAN or Six Sigma would be an asset.
