Nine (9) seasonal positions of Labourer II with the Maintenance Division of the Department of Transportation and Works located at the following: (4) Goobies Unit, (3) Black Brook Unit & (2) Clarenville, Salt Shed Unit.

Duties: 

This is semi-skilled work involving the operation of various tools and equipment used in highway maintenance.  Work may also involve the operation of jackhammers or other similar equipment; erection of highway signs, performing flagperson duties on road maintenance projects; may be required to drive a truck as an incidental assignment; perform other related duties as required

Qualifications: 

Completion of High School; knowledge of tools and equipment and their use.  Knowledge of safety procedures in the performance of such work; or any other equivalent combination of experience and training.  Possession of a flagperson certificate and a valid Class 5 driver's license are required.

Salary: (MS 15) $13.68 - $14.64
