Purpose of Position:
- Working with the Atlantic Steering Committee, leads and manages People initiatives within the Atlantic Commercial Team.
- Provides strategic and tactical leadership to client group to ensure the People function is an effective business partner in achieving business results.
- Advise and direct Atlantic Steering Committee and Sales Management team on People matters related to company policy and employment law.
- Improves Sales KPI results using the Management Systems tools.
- Support WCCP initiatives and drive process and reporting into the field.
- Coach staff on use of tools (PDCA, Target Cascading etc.).
- Lead and coach Problem solving and root cause analysis on key initiatives.
- Create and update action plans for KPIs.
- Lead the Target Setting and Cascading Process at the local level.
Accountabilities:
- Leading, delivering and monitoring key People process such as OPR below the director level; performance management, target setting & cascading.
- Lead recruitment process for all positions within the client group.
- Work with Atlantic Sales Management team to attract, develop and maintain strong internal entry-level "bench" of future Territory manager candidates thereby creating a strategic advantage for the Sales team.
- Manage relationship with external supplier of talent (Mosaic) to ensure top quality junior sales candidates are recruited for Labatt.
- Advise, council and/or direct Atlantic Steering Committee and Sales Managers on company policy and employment law.
- Act as business partner with client group on addressing employee needs and business needs in order to accomplish the business objectives.
- Liaise with Sales Management and Zone L&D team to ensure that all development needs are supported accordingly.
- Participate in and lead the People Matters agenda for the Atlantic Commercial team.
- Lead, support and implement local, national and global People Matter Projects as required.
- Ensure client group meets annual People and Travel ZBB sub-package targets.
- Communicate and administer annual compensation program including bonus and merit.
- Support the annual performance management process (GLAPM) and conduct audits to ensure that development needs are identified and addressed.
- Coordinate internal communications for all people-related activity within the Market Unit.
- Achievement of all regional sales KPI targets.
- Sustainability of WCCP Excellence Program within the field as measured by Global auditing criteria.
- Leading Problem Solving and Root Cause Analysis (Improvement Task Force) on priority KPIs and issues identified as critical for the site.
- Coaching Managers and Supervisors on the use of Problem Solving and Root Cause Analysis tools as required to achieve department and sales targets.
- Support and Coordinate action plans and development tools to assist Commercial team in executing against various initiatives (WCCP etc.).
Technical Knowledge and Skills:
- Strong knowledge of employment law.
- Advanced MS Excel skill an asset.
Other Skills / Competencies / Attributes:
- Minimum university undergraduate degree is required.
- 3-5 years of related experience – recruitment, compensation, learning & development, sales, marketing, etc.
- Prior sales management experience an asset.
