Job Summary:

The role of Audio Visual Expert & Installer is more than hanging projectors and the like. At Duocom Canada, we look for the individual to be a true subject matter expert assisting in both pre and post sales engagements. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to join an exciting and growing branch of a national audio and visual solutions leader. Working with the Regional Manager and sales team, the individual will be prime in recommending, designing and ultimately integrating high-end audio visual solutions that enable our customers to maximize their investments in these technologies. With key partners including NEC, Samsung, InFocus, SMART, Crestron and Extron, we are positioned very strongly to elevate the solutions currently offered in our marketplace.

Qualifications – Technical:

• Minimum 5 years hands-on installation experience
• Strong knowledge of audio and visual signal flow and cabling
• IT hardware and networking experience a bonus
• CTS designated certification a bonus
• Good knowledge of “facilities” acumen (i.e. comfortable with understanding building/facilities construction and renovations processes)
• Physically able
• Computer literate
• Valid drivers’ license

Qualifications – Non-Technical:

• Strong oral and written communications ability
• Comfortable providing formal and informal product training sessions
• Focus on customer relationship management
• Entrepreneurial spirit and drive
• Attention to detail 
• Analytical thinker
• Familiarity with local business marketplace (a nice asset)
