Homburg Canada Inc. is seeking a corporate Paralegal and Executive Assistant for its Halifax office. The position will report to the corporate secretary and general counsel. Homburg Canada Inc. is the asset and property manager for Homburg Invest Inc., a publicly traded real estate investment and management entity with approximately four billion dollars in assets in Canada, Europe, and the United States.
The ideal candidate will have five or more years experience in a corporate department and will have working competency with incorporations, corporate resolutions, minute books, limited partnership documentation, filings with the Registry of Joint Stock Companies, and related activities. Experience and training in records management will be a significant advantage.
The position will also involve regulatory filings, arranging quarterly Board and Committee meetings, preparing meeting packages and minutes, and other typical functions related to a public company in conjunction with the corporate secretary.
A component of the position will be as an executive assistant with administrative and backup reception duties for the Halifax office.
The ideal candidate will be highly professional, have strong communication and interpersonal skills, be self-motivated, and able to work with their own direction.
