Property Accountant

Our client, a real estate management organization, is seeking a Property Accountant for their Dartmouth location.  This is a contract position with potential permanent opportunity.

Working within the accounting department, you will be responsible for full process accounting duties related to a portfolio of commercial and residential properties.  Duties will include, but are not limited to, processing accounts payable, accounts receivable, posting journal entries, generating financial statements and assisting with month end processes. You will maintain the property files and records, assisting clients as needed.
 
As the ideal candidate, you have completed a college or university program with a concentration in accounting and a minimum of two years related work experience within the property management industry or general accounting experience within another industry (ideally performing accounting for multiple businesses or entities). With excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills, you have a keen interest in learning and are looking for an opportunity within a positive, progressive work environment. Experience with Excel software is required while experience with Spectra software is considered an asset.
