Accounting Technician

Our client, a reputable leader in the transportation industry, is seeking an Accounting Technician for their Burnside location. This is a contract opportunity for approximately 7 months.

Reporting to the Director of Finance, you will be responsible for:

• Journal entries
• Bank reconciliations
• Daily cash flow reporting
• Weekly management reporting
• Account reconciliations and analysis
• Weekly billing reconciliations
• Additional accounting tasks and projects as required

As an ideal candidate, you have completed a bachelor’s degree in accounting and may currently be working towards an accounting designation (CGA, CMA) combined with two to three years progressive accounting experience. With exemplary analytical and technical skills, you are detail-oriented and have demonstrated the ability to excel in a fast-paced environment. Working well independently and meeting tight deadlines are essential. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel is required for the position, and familiarity with Great Plains software is considered an asset.
