Are you interested in enhancing your career with a dynamic industry leader? Our client, a processing and distribution organization, is seeking an Accountant for their corporate office in Bedford, Nova Scotia.  This is a contract opportunity for approximately three months.

Reporting to the Accounting Manager, you will be responsible for:

• Month end accounting processes
• Bank reconciliations
• Account reconciliations
• Financial analysis and reporting
• Liaising with bank and other external entities
• Other accounting support as needed

As the ideal candidate, you have completed a university degree in Accounting, are interested in or actively pursuing a professional accounting designation (CMA or CGA) and have five years general accounting experience.  Strong initiative, the ability to work well independently combined with relationship building skills is required.  You have impeccable attention to detail and consistently meet all deadlines.  Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required and experience with J.D. Edwards is considered an advantage. Prior experience working in the manufacturing industry is also considered an asset.
