3D Multimedia Developer

Description:

The successful candidate will work as a 3D Multimedia Developer in a fast paced production environment. You will have the opportunity to use industry standard tools as well as new multimedia authoring tools specific to creating learning content for clients that include international corporations and the military. As a member of the multimedia development team, you will create a wide range of media assets, from interactive 3D scenarios and components to rendering and conversion of 3D models into a wide variety of formats to be used as training materials for our clients.

Responsibilities:

• Apply design principles to the development of instructional multimedia
• Develop and maintain media assets including 3D graphics, illustrations, and interactive 2D and 3D scenarios
• Create content that conforms to design specifications and multimedia standards
• Revise multimedia assets as per client review
• Adhere to schedules and deadlines
• Contribute to the ongoing improvement of multimedia, design and development
• Assists in the development of multimedia standards
• Assume other duties as assigned

Preferred Education and Experience:

• Post secondary educational background in 3D animation, game design, graphic design, media arts or visual communication
• Strong 3D modelling skills
• Minimum of 2 year experience or strong portfolio in 3D animation and/or game design
• Competent in 3D Studio MAX or Maya, Photoshop, and Adobe Flash
• Experience working with audio and video (e.g. Sound Forge, Premier, After Effects) is an asset
• Ability to code HTML, XML, CSS and Action Script is an asset
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Has an eye for style and visual excellence
• Flexible, motivated and able to meet deadlines
