Accountant
Reporting to the President, Primary Responsibilities Include:
- Prepare and process general journal entries
- Maintain and reconcile various general ledger accounts
- Process accounts payable, accounts receivable and assist with treasury functions
- Review, analyze and reconcile income statement and balance sheet accounts
- Maintain and reconcile sub-ledgers
- Prepare weekly, monthly quarterly and annual reports as assigned
- Prepare financial records and financial statements for review and presentation to Leadership Team
- Provide high quality financial information to facilitate achievement of strategic goals making recommendations, and presenting conclusions.
- Aid various departments with accounting duties through interacting with other departments in preparing reports, analyzing data, and providing advice.
- Document processes and recommend improvements.
- Provide for the smooth and efficient administration of the company's business systems and controls;
- Assist the President in the preparation of budgets and forecasts;
- Efficient management of cash flow and liquidity;
- Prepare financial reports and analyses for the Board of Directors;
- Human resource management and administering payroll.
Qualifications:
- Possess a professional accounting designation (CA,CMA,CGA);
- Minimum five years progressive experience in a similar role;
- Advanced communication and interpersonal skills;
- Proven strategic and tactical planning abilities;
- Possess strong leadership and management skills;
- Proficient in computerized accounting software;
- General knowledge of accommodation industry; and
- High level of personal drive and attention to detail.
Remuneration is commensurate with experience.
