We are currently looking for an individual who has a passion for training and enjoys promoting and fostering a learning culture to join our Learning and Development team in our Center for Excellence in Charlottetown, PEI.  This is a nine month contract position with the possibility of an extension and/or becoming permanent.

The Training Specialist will be responsible for the development and delivery of managerial and employee development programs to align with the requirements of our customer(s).  Under the direction of the Learning Centre Manager, this position will participate in the creation and implementation of curriculum that will assist our customers in establishing and improving employee performance and engagement.

Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Participating in the creation and acquisition of training materials to support Learning Centre curriculum.
  • Delivering development programs to our customer groups
  • Participating in the assessment of individual and organizational learning needs
  • Measuring and modifying learning deliver systems to meet maximum impact and efficiency

As the ideal candidate you will have a Bachelors degree or diploma in adult education or a related area along with 3-5 years of training experience.  You will possess excellent presentation and communication skills along with strong classroom management skills.  A high focus on customer service and the ability to thrive in a fast paced culture is also required.  Experience in instructing in business (i.e. strategic development, performance assessments, etc.) is preferred.  In addition some travel may be required.
