Miramichi Regional Health Authority has a full time vacancy for a Psychologist within Mental Health.  The position involves the provision of a full range of Psychological services to clients, their families and groups, including assessment, counseling, case planning and management, crisis intervention, suicide intervention and prevention, treatment, rehabilitation referral, debriefings, consultation and collaboration.  As part of a multidisciplinary team this position requires the responsibility for an assigned caseload, preparation and management of reports and other documentation; the development and maintenance of effective working relationships with clients, co-workers, community and volunteer agencies, other government departments, agencies and health care professionals.

Qualifications:

• Masters in Psychology with 4 years supervised work experience and final licensing requirements (written and oral exam through the CPNB) or or with a Doctorate in Psychology with 1 year supervised work experience. 
• Membership or eligibility for membership with the CPNB.
• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends.
• Six months recent experience in Mental Health.
• Demonstrated proficiency (written and oral) in both official languages as demonstrated in testing.
