New Brunswick health care is putting patients first. To support this, clinical and non-clinical health services delivery in New Brunswick has been transformed into a new structure that supports a standardized, efficient provincial approach to health care. The new health system will include two Regional Health Authorities, a non-clinical services public sector company and a Health Council.
On behalf of the Province of New Brunswick, we are inviting applications from qualified New Brunswick residents to participate in a governance or Health Council role for these new organizations.
Regional Health Authority A will be based in Bathurst and will serve the areas originally served by RHA 1 Beauséjour (Moncton), RHA 4 (Edmundston), RHA 5 (Campbellton) and RHA 6 (Bathurst). As a member of the RHA A Board of Directors, you will bring some combination of the skills and competencies essential to govern the organization such as a background in governance, accounting and finance, law, business management, labour relations and human resources, communications or public relations, and/or technology along with knowledge of current and emerging health issues and/or public sector. RHA A Board business will be conducted in French and therefore the appropriate linguistic skills will be required.

The deadline date for submissions for all positions is May 16, 2008. Please note that all appointments will be made by the Lieutenant Governor in Council and Board and Health Council composition will take into account the need to balance urban and rural representation, both official language communities and gender.
