Extra-Mural Program – Lamèque Office
Job Summary:
The incumbent will participate in the planning and delivery of comprehensive nursing care to meet the health care needs of patients and their families. He or she will exercise these responsibilities in accordance with the philosophy, objectives, and policies of the New Brunswick Extra-Mural Program.
Requirements:
- Active member of the Nurses Association of New Brunswick;
- Current CPR training;
- Minimum of two years relevant experience in acute care (i.e. Emergency, Ambulatory Care, Medical/Surgical Care or Pediatrics) in the last 5 years;
- Willingness, when on call, to remain no more than 1 hour and 15 minutes away from the furthest client in his or her assigned territory;
- Two years experience in care plan implementation;
- Knowledge of French essential; functional knowledge of English required;
- Possibility of work in other Extra-Mural Program offices managed by the Acadie Bathurst Health Authority;
- Problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills and ability to develop strong interpersonal relationships;
- Ability to work independently and as a member of an interdisciplinary team;
- Demonstrated good judgement, initiative, creativity and adaptability to changing work environment.
