Kinek Technologies Inc., a software firm located in Saint John, New Brunswick, is seeking an intermediate software developer, to join our development team. Our product, the Wellness Record, is an innovative, leading-edge technology platform for the delivery of treatment and prevention programs related to personal health. We are looking for a motivated individual who will embrace our vision of using web-enabled technologies to redefine personal health and wellness management.
Intermediate Developer
The Programmer will be responsible for all aspects of code creation in a web based (.net) environment. This position will appeal to a graduate of Computer Science or a related discipline with three to five years of related experience in developing enterprise applications.
Responsibilities and required skills include:
- Required hands on experience with some or all of the following Microsoft technologies:
- .NET Framework (2.0, 3.0), C#.NET/AJAX/ASP.NET2 / Web Parts, Visual Studio 2005
- ASP/HTML, CSS, JavaScript, DHTML, XML, SOAP
- Microsoft SQL Server 2005, IIS 6, Windows Server 2003, Office 2007
Specific skills and knowledge in the following areas is desired:
- Design and administer Microsoft SQL Databases
- Dotnetnuke or other portal technologies
- Experience producing unit test with nUnit or other unit testing tools
- Produce Entity Relationship diagrams
- Test and debug .NET websites
- Cascading Style sheets (not required, but preferred)
- Experience using Adobe – Flex is a plus
- Properly configure and deploy .NET application using the package and deployment wizards
- Create controls and components using Object Oriented practices
- Basic understanding of UML
- General knowledge of Visual Source Safe: able to check in /out code
- Strong written and spoken English communication skills
- Working both independently and in a team-based environment
