Manufacturing Technician

We are currently seeking applicants for a 1 year contract with the possibility of a full time position in our Technical Order Control and Engineering department. The applicant will be involved in various technical projects in the department as a manufacturing technician.  This position reports to the Engineering Manager.

Qualifications:

• Knowledge in cabinet making is an asset.
• Knowledge of CAD and CNC programming is an asset.
• Knowledge of Access is an asset.
• Knowledge of Excel is an asset.
• Knowledge of SQL is an asset.
• Knowledge of Crystal report is an asset.
• Ease of learning new computer programs.
• Diploma from a community college in IT or drafting and CNC programming or practical work experience that justifies equivalence.
• Creative thinking and good imagination.
• Bilingualism is an asset.
• Organized, efficient and meticulous working habits.
• Positive approach to resolving problems.

The Nature and Scope of this position entails:

• Prepare manufacturing work order (CAD drawings, cut list…)
• Prepare and maintain CNC programs
• Help implement business systems.
• Develop and improve production reports.
• Analyze data and develop purchasing tools using Excel.
• Work with minimum supervision.
• Should work with time commitments.
• Any other responsibility assigned by Department Manager.

Salary is negotiable based on experience.
