Job Title: QA Analyst

Role Description: As a QA Analyst at PQA Testing, you will be involved in many phases of the software lifecycle, working closely with the development team from concept to completion.  As part of our team, you will be working on leading edge software development projects to provide our customers with innovative solutions.

General Responsibilities:

• Perform in-depth black box, GUI testing such as writing and executing test scripts
• Write test plans and test cases from functional specifications and from using the product
• Use internal bug tracking and test case management systems to record bugs and test case results

Key Requirements:

• A Computer Science or Computer Engineering degree or software testing experience
• Knowledge of the software development cycle
• Experience as a Software Tester
• Experience writing test plans and test cases
• Familiarity with J2EE, web development, .NET, and database technologies would be beneficial
• Knowledge of Java, C/C++, C#, and SQL would be beneficial
• Test automation experience would be beneficial

• Must have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex problems and propose practical solutions.
• Flexibility, self-motivation, and the ability to give and receive feedback at all levels are required
• Strong management, interpersonal, and communication skills are essential, as well as the ability to navigate and work through challenges with a positive attitude
• Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines
• Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
• Bingualism an asset
• Some travel may be required
