About our client, Encorp Atlantic Inc.
At Encorp Atlantic Inc., our mission is to provide beverage container waste management services to organizations that distribute deposit-bearing beverage containers in New Brunswick.  Encorp is committed to optimizing beverage container redemption levels and costs of recycling those containers while maintaining long term self-sufficiency. 

About the Role:
Based in Moncton, NB and reporting to the Board of Directors, the General Manager is pivotal in driving the corporation towards achieving its mission and financial objectives. As the ideal candidate for this role, your track record demonstrates strong leadership abilities, strong communication skills, solid business acumen and prudent financial management. 

Your decision-making skills are second to none and you have a knack for making sound judgements when dealing with legal and/or operational questions.  You are at home when dealing with regulation and policy and can work effectively with industry, government and the wider community.  You are a natural when it comes to communicating your organization's key messages and can act as an effective media spokesperson on behalf of the Board and the Corporation. 

Scope of Responsibilities:

  • Operations Management – Oversee daily operations, including Customer Satisfaction, Cost Performance, Environmental Health and Safety and Operations.  Manage people and vendors, and deliver on Encorp’s business plan.
  • Financial Management – You will lead and execute the development of annual budgets and prepare financial reporting for all operational and reporting needs.
  • Relationship Management – Manage key partnerships within government and with suppliers, customers and processors.
  • Public Relations – Manage the corporation’s public image through effective media relations and communications.
  • Organizational Strategy - Work with the Board to refine the corporation’s long-term strategy.  Deliver on programs designed to meet Encorp’s mission.

Experience and Qualifications:

  • Minimum seven (7) years experience in a high profile leadership role.
  • Proven ability to lead teams and individuals to achieve significant business targets.
  • Strong skills in public relations, networking and negotiation.
  • Post Secondary education in Business Management and/or a related field.
  • Professional accreditation in a relevant field (CA, CGA or CMA) is a definite asset.
  • Strong communications, public speaking and presentation skills.
  • Knowledge of how Information Technology (IT) supports business processes.
  • Bilingualism, although not required, would be considered and asset.
