Essential Qualifications

  • High School graduate or successful completion of GED
  • Successful completion of a recognized rehabilitation program or equivalent combination of clinical training and/ or relevant experience in the development and implementation of pre-school program(s)
  • Knowledge as demonstrated through testing on the normal development of language for children ages 0-5
  • Enrollment and/ or completion of a speech-language pathology assistant program an asset
  • Demonstrated communication and problem solving skills
  • Valid Drivers' license and good driving record
  • Microsoft Word as demonstrated by testing
  • Be able to work under minimal supervision.
  • Mentally and physically able to perform assigned duties
  • Good previous work records and must be able to attend work on a regular basis
  • All mandatory certifications must be up to date.

Basic Duties

To provide support to the Speech-Language Pathologists (SLP) within the Early Language Services Program.  Duties may include planning, preparing, and providing programs under the supervision of an SLP and application of computer skills.
