Our client is currently seeking a Senior Decision Support Analyst to be located in Saint John, New Brunswick. The Senior Decision Support Analyst participates in the implementation of Business Intelligence, (BI) projects and support of existing BI solutions.  This includes translating business requirements into data models and building OLAP cubes or reports over the data models. The Senior Decision support Analyst also performs maintenance and support activities to solutions already deployed to customers.

Position Requirements:

• University degree in the field of computer science, information systems or software engineering, and/or 5+ years equivalent work experience
• Minimum of  5+ years of development experience with Business Intelligence tools, preferably Cognos Business Intelligence Tools (Cognos 8 Suite)
• Excellent understanding of software development best practices. 
• Strong written, oral and interpersonal communication skills 
• Highly self motivated and directed. 
• Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.

Desired Skills:

• Certification with Cognos BI tools and Data Warehouse
• Solid report design and data modeling skills
• Experience with an Enterprise Database Management System such as SQL and/or Oracle
• Knowledgeable regarding Data Warehouse theory and application
• Strong ability to translate Business Requirements into Technical Designs
• Cognos Series 7 Tool experience
