Our client is a US$24-billion diversified technology and manufacturing leader, serving customers worldwide.  Our client's Energy Solutions division provides self funded, performance based energy conservation solutions to commercial, institutional and industrial customers.
 
Their continued growth in the Energy Services sector has led to opening in Nova Scotia for the following full time permanent position:

Project Manager

Reporting to the Eastern Canada Operations Leader, and based in Nova Scotia, you will assume project management and financial responsibility for projects.  You will lead an installation team, manage schedules, scope, contract requirements, cost and cash flow.  You will also assist the sales team in the preparation of job estimates, proposals and presentations.  Maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction is an absolute requirement.
 
Responsibilities:

  • Complete project management and financial responsibility for projects in Nova Scotia.
  • Provide leadership and direction for the assigned team.
  • Manage scope, schedule, cost, customer, contracts, sub-contractors and cash flow.
  • Assist the Sales Team in the preparation of job estimates, designs, proposals and presentations.
  • Maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction is an absolute requirement.
  • Travel as required.

Qualifications, Skills and Competencies:

  • University Degree or Community College diploma (Mechanical).
  • 5 years' of Project Management experience in the ESCO sector is preferred.
  • Strong technical knowledge of Energy Conservation and HVAC / Building systems is required.
  • Preference will be given to candidates with engineering backgrounds, PMP certification, contract management and design-build experience.
  • Candidates will be required to become PMP certified as soon as experience requirements are met.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, planning, coaching and computer skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and get things done efficiently and effectively in a multi-tasking environment.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Compensation:

Will be based on training and experience.  A comprehensive group benefits plan is available.
