Our team members have the opportunity to be involved in a variety of projects, which extend from environmental impact assessments to site decommissioning, remediation, and reclamation. Stantec's extensive team of environmental professionals provide candidates with both the support and opportunity to work in a wide variety of projects for our broad client base.

Responsibilities:

An immediate opportunity exists in our Edmonton office for an intermediate (3 to 5 years experience) Field Service Technologist or Scientist to assist with our compliance soil, groundwater, and surface water data collection programs; and, to perform testhole drilling, logging, groundwater monitor well installations, field sampling and reporting requirements for our commercial, industrial and upstream oil and gas clients.

Qualifications:
  • A diploma or degree related to environmental sciences, geology and/or engineering;
  • A desire to work in the field;
  • Familiarity with Alberta's Environment's and Energy Resources Conservation Board's Act's, Guidelines and Regulations;
  • Experience completing Phase I/II/III Environmental Site Assessments
  • Demonstrated understanding of inorganic and organic chemistry;
  • Demonstrated understanding of geology;
  • Experience Microsoft Office suite;
  • Demonstrated ability to work in the field independently or as part of a team;
  • Flexibility and ability to work evenings and weekends when required
  • Valid drivers license (abstract required).
