Business Development Officer

The Guysborough County Regional Development Authority (GCRDA) is seeking applications for the position Business Development Officer. This position will concentrate mainly on Investment Recruitment and Business Retention and Expansion. The successful applicant must be a highly motivated, goal-oriented team player with a keen interest in promoting the region.

The Skills:

• Ability to identify business/industrial opportunities and provide support to companies located or thinking of locating in Guysborough County.
• Demonstrated ability to work comfortably in both the public and private sectors.
• Effective communication abilities.
• Enthusiastic and progressive attitude.

Education/Experience:

• A business degree or equivalent experience in business.
• A background which includes experience in business planning and marketing.

Salary: Commensurate with experience.
