Website Development Leader
Our local Bedford client, has an immediate opening for a strong Leader to run their web development department. This company offers strategic Web solutions to clients all over North America.
The Website Development Manager is responsible to oversee the overall online design, development, and marketing strategy for our client. This includes staying current with technology and marketing industries, researching and developing new software, and coaching and training the rest of the web team.
Candidates must be very comfortable working in this environment with these skills:
- Website development and significant technical background
- Leadership skills and Management
- Marketing Strategy experience
- On-Line Marketing aptitude
Basic Skills & Qualifications:
- Professionalism, excellent inter-personal and communication skills
- Self motivated, goal driven
- Ability to make smart business decisions and analyze cost benefit
- Ability to price and estimation delivery dates for technical projects
- Ability to meet specified deadlines
- Detail-focused and a self-starter
Technical Skills & Qualifications:
- Advanced knowledge of HTML, XHTML, JavaScript, PHP, MySQL and or other website development skills.
- Unix server administration including DNS, file permission settings,
- Server administration including domain management, subdomain setup, password protecting public directories, configuring spam filters, managing mail queues
- Graphics design skills in Photoshop, Illustrator, and Flash
- Advanced knowledge of digital imaging including image file types.
- Firm understanding of what various projects should cost when sourcing vendors
Business Management Skills & Qualifications:
- Firm understanding of Search Engine Optimization and Marketing and the principle elements of developing search engine friendly websites.
- Ability to recommend technical solutions for marketing problems
- Ability to analyze cost benefits and make calculated business decisions
