Applications are invited from a highly motivated and skilled individual who is interested in supporting the office of the Chief Operating Officer – Long Term Care and Community Living and Supportive Services (St. John’s).

Duties:

The Executive Assistant is accountable for a variety of administrative and secretarial responsibilities.  The incumbent will plan, coordinate, direct and manage administrative activities at the Executive level.  Accountabilities include; coordinating inquiries; preparing correspondence and reports; coordinating the appointment schedule and activities; providing secretarial support to senior level committees; and managing confidential files and other sensitive information.

Qualifications:

Graduation from high school or equivalent, a minimum of a two year business/office administration program supplemented by extensive experience at the Executive level is required.  Courses and proficiency in database management, word processing and other computer applications are required.  The successful candidate should possess excellent communication, customer service and organizational skills and must have considerable experience meeting deadlines, while maintaining a high level of productivity, accuracy and efficiency.  A typing speed of 60 wpm is required.   Candidates possessing an equivalent combination of experience and training may be considered. 

Salary: As per the HAY Management Pay Plan

Hours of Work: 70 hours bi-weekly
