Project Manager
Ocean Steel & Construction Ltd. Fredericton Branch, part of the OSCO Construction Group distributes ferrous and non-ferrous products and offers services to a growing number of fabricators and manufacturers throughout the Maritime Provinces. We currently have career opportunities for a Project Manager at our plant in Fredericton, NB.
Responsibilities:
- Performing material take-offs and pricing to provide accurate quotes to customers;
- Review bid documents (specifications, drawings, addendums, bid alternates, delivery dates if noted and bid closing date) and efficiently coordinate sending/receiving of estimating documents to contractors;
- Manage several projects concurrently from award to final completion;
- Issue subcontracts and requisitions necessary for the projects;
- Co-ordination with Clients, Sub-Contractors, Detailing, Fabrication, Shipping and Erection;
- Requests for change orders in scope and information to complete projects;
- Schedule drawing submittals, delivery of material to jobsites and approve invoices;
- Submit monthly progress claims and approve invoices.
Education Requirements - Knowledge & Skills:
- The ideal candidate will have a Degree in Civil Engineering or a Diploma in Civil Engineering Technology;
- Previous experience as an Estimator and/or Project Manager in the Steel Industry is considered an asset;
- Detail orientated, excellent communication & interpersonal skills and the ability to multi task are required;
- Must have exceptional time management and organizational skills;
- Proven Ability to work well in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment;
- Computer skills using MS Office software programs are required;
