Socioeconomic Analyst
Location: Dartmouth

We have an immediate opening for an intermediate Socioeconomic Analyst to join our team in our Dartmouth, NS office.

The successful candidate will have a Masters degree in a relevant social science and at least 5 years of relevant experience, preferably in consulting with environmental regulatory processes. The candidate possesses proficiency in qualitative and quantitative social research and analysis (e.g. surveys, interviews, focus groups, etc.).  Excellent research and writing skills are required as well as proficient use of MS Word and Excel.  The candidate must have excellent organizational and communication skills and must be able to work in a team environment to deliver projects under tight time constraints.

Experience in environmental regulatory processes and the formulation of environmental policy, experience in stakeholder consultation and engagement processes, as well as experience in conducting primary applied socioeconomic research will be considered an asset.  The successful candidate must show initiative with a high standard for quality of work.

Responsibilities include: 

  • collection and interpretation of secondary information;
  • primary qualitative and quantitative socioeconomic research;
  • analysis of information and data;
  • communication with clients, project stakeholders and the public; and
  • comprehensive report writing.
