Position: Programmer / Analyst

Location: St. John’s, Newfoundland

Term: 4 Months

Our client has a Programmer Analyst or Senior Programmer Analyst role with a minimum of 3 years experience and a technical background working with Visual Basic (VB6), ASP, Oracle 10G and Crystal Reports.

Responsibilities :
- Working under the direction of the project manager in a team environment to ensure that the project
is delivered on time and within budget.
- Working collaboratively in a team environment with the client's Application Services resources to ensure
project success.
- Analyzing, developing, testing and documenting the required system changes to the system.
- Utilizing the proper user acceptance testing techniques to ensure that the changes are adequately
tested and working to the satisfaction of the client.
- Ensuring that the documentation and other required deliverables are completed to the satisfaction
of the project manager.


Required Skills:
- 3-5 years of experience utilizing Visual Basic 6 and/or Active Server Pages.
- Demonstrated working knowledge of the Oracle DBMS and Crystal Reports.
- Practical experience in application development and service delivery, application implementations,
distributed systems and team development environments is a definite asset.
- Knowledge of the public sector and the Government IT environment would be an asset.
