Our client, a specialist in the on-shore oil and gas industry throughout Canada, requires 2 Wiring Designer/Engineers for a contract in Calgary, Alberta. In this role you will responsible for the following:
- Wiring designs using Intools/Microstation software
- Loop diagrams for both Cad loop drawings and Intools 7 Enhanced smartloop
- Foundation Fieldbus segment designs and drawings
- Interface with instrumentation/controls/design and electrical teams to complete area deliverables for the project
- Compile construction work packages for designated area deliverables including drawings, designs, cable/panel schedules
- Review vendor/team packages for completeness and issuance
To be considered for this role you should be able to demonstrate the following:
- Process knowledge in work area is preferred
- Extensive knowledge of Intools wiring module, including technical understanding of wiring methods for control systems and instrumentation loops
- General oil/gas instrumentation design competency at an intermediate level with particular knowledge of instrumentation and controls design area deliverables for large oil sands projects
- Minimum 5 years experience
- 2D Microstation competency for cabinet/design sketches
- PDS SmartPlant Review software competency
- Foundation Fieldbus experience preferred
- Basic understanding of Control I/O and signal assignments, project schedules and timeframes
- Utilization of P & IDs for instrument wiring and locations
- Familiarity with control panel/marshalling panel and junction box design
- JB loading and circuit understanding for analog/discrete circuits
- Understand and follow design specs for project to complete work as per specs/guidelines
