River Valley Health has a challenging and rewarding opportunity for a permanent full-time Supervisory Physiotherapist. The position home base is the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Significant time will be spent in the Queens North Community Health Centre in Minto.
The Supervisory Physiotherapist is responsible for direct and indirect clinical care within the scope of professional practice to provide supervision, clinical leadership and guidance to physiotherapy staff, as well as to carry out administrative functions with respect to the physiotherapy service at the Queens North Community Health Centre.
As part of an interdisciplinary team, you will work in collaboration with other members of the health care team and with partners in the community to develop prevention and disease management programs and to enhance community capacity.
Travel within River Valley Health is required.
Qualifications:
- Current registration and in good standing with the New Brunswick Association of Physiotherapists
- Minimum of 3 years' relevant experience, including progressive experience in which leadership ability has been demonstrated
- Demonstrated excellent clinical, organizational, interpersonal, communication and team-building skills
- Experience with and courses related to an outpatient physiotherapy population
- An interest in and aptitude for community program development including health, wellness, disease prevention and management programs; experience in this area is an asset
