River Valley Health has an immediate opportunity for a full-time Cardiac Technologist in the Electrodiagnostics Department at the Upper River Valley Hospital in Waterville.

The Cardiac Technologist's responsibilities include performing resting 12 lead, 15 lead and Paediatric ECG's; ambulatory monitoring including King of Hearts, Holter and ABPM's; editing and transmitting electrocardiology tests to various facility sites; scanning and reporting Holter monitor information; performing exercise tolerance tests and assisting Cardiac Internist in pacemaker/device follow-up clinic.

Qualifications:

• Active registration with NBSCT and/or CSCT
• Successful completion of an approved course recognized by the Canadian Society of Cardiology Technologists
• Active BCLS Certification
• Demonstrated ability to respond to emergency situations
• Demonstrated ability to perform assigned duties accurately and efficiently with minimal supervision
• Demonstrated communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
• Experience in exercise stress testing, Holter scanning and pacemaker interrogations an asset
