Radiographer

Facility: Digby General Hospital

Type: Full-Time       

Position Scope:  

To provide quality and general radiography services in accordance with established policy and procedure. The position requires on-call and standby coverage.  Travel to other sites serviced by the District may be required.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate in Radiography of a recognized School of Medical Radiation Technology
  • Registered or eligible for registration with CAMRT
  • Effective communication skills - written, oral, computer
  • Ability to relate well to patients, staff and others with a pleasant, cooperative attitude
  • Ability to respect confidentiality of all work-related information
  • Ability to demonstrate initiative and good judgement
  • Ability to assess patient capabilities and limitations and adjust as necessary
  • Ability to use time effectively by organizing and prioritizing duties
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Must be adaptable and flexible to adjust to the changing needs of the service and the program
  • Possess the physical capabilities to perform the duties of the position
  • Experience in Quality Control required
  • Experience in working in a filmless environment an asset
  • CPR qualified
  • First Aid certification is required
