Facility: Yarmouth Regional Hospital

Position Scope:
Responsible to the Nurse Manager for provision of direct and indirect patient care activities and professional nursing services required in the nursing care of patients, in primary unit(s) or re-assigned unit(s), in collaboration with other health care providers.
Candidates must be available for all shifts including nights, evenings and weekends.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Currently registered with the College of Registered Nurses of Nova Scotia and functions within RN scope of practice.
- Demonstrated leadership, organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to promote and maintain good interpersonal relationships when dealing with patients, visitors and other health care providers.
- Certified in Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS).
- Must be able to perform duties that involve lifting, bending and stretching.
- Demonstrated commitment to continued professional development.
- Displays a patient/client service attitude.
- Supports a respectful workplace and has the ability to work within a team environment.
- Capable of maintaining regular attendance.
- Must be willing to obtain ER Shared Competencies, Triage Course, ACLS, TNCC.
